COX FLEXION DISTRACTION
A gentle, non-force adjustment procedure to help the spine heal naturally. The goal of Flexion Distraction is to decompress the spine by applying gentle stretching or traction to the lower spine. Cox Technic is an evidence-based non-surgical, chiropractic spinal manipulation. This technique is highly effective for Herniated discs, Lumbar Stenosis, Osteoarthritis, Facet Syndrome, and Sciatica.
DIVERSIFIED OR MANUAL ADJUSTING
This is one of the most common types of techniques used by chiropractors using their hands only to realign vertebrae or as chiropractors refer to them as subluxations.
THOMPSON TECHNIQUE
This technique uses a part of the chiropractic table that uses a drop to assist the chiropractor in making a very gentle realignment of the low back, thoracic region, SI joint, or a leg length inequality.
ACTIVATOR METHOD
Uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse or alignment to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint. This instrument is highly effective for very young children or older adults who may have osteoporosis.
Chiropractors who utilize these techniques must become highly proficient and certified in any one of these types of adjustments or methods.
